We Got a Divorce from Facebook

We got a divorce from Facebook (hopefully we didn’t alarm you too much). We’ve been in a long love-hate relationship with FB for about 10 years now and we finally cut ties with it last week. We deleted our account–never to return. We believe this was the best for us right now because we’re really trying to focus and establish some things.

It has been a time of A DIVINE REFOCUS. We’ve been asking ourselves two hard questions with everything we’re a part of and do:

Is this changing lives?

Is this building the Kingdom of God?

Man, some of our answers have been a BIG FAT NO. That includes FB and so we could no longer continue in the way that we’ve been going. We believe social media has a place and there are people who use it to touch lives and build up the Kingdom of God.

For us, God called us to break away and it was a difficult decision because we have friends on there from Brazil and Finland and in the states. Everyone is connected there and we were afraid we might miss out on events from friends. So with that being said, we wanted to let you all know, will you please, pretty please inform us about upcoming events and accomplishments in your life because we really do want to support you. And we’re not ignoring you on social media because, well, we got a divorce.

We’re excited about the renewed focus and look forward to giving more time and energy to The GarVos Family, to our businesses, doing more face-to-face meetings, renovating our websites and providing content that will change lives and help build the Kingdom of God.
