Full Term and Ready to Deliver

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 (ESV)

Timing is very important in God eyes as it pertains to complete readiness. Mary, the mother of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did not understand the depth of her assignment from God in bringing forth the “Only Begotten Son of God.” A process that included tremendous spiritual growth, development and the birthing of her purpose, along with painful rejection, abandonment, separation, shame, loneliness, ridicule, and great controversy concerning her purpose. Then, after her season of preparation, in the fullness of God’s own timing, God sent forth his Son (Jesus), birthed from the womb of Mary, prepared to fulfill His awesome kingdom assignment of redeeming mankind.

 

At times my night season of preparation seemed like it would never end and the labor pains of delivery were almost unbearable. But somehow I always knew if I could just hold on and keep on pushing, that “after this”, when all of the excruciating pain and many attempts to jump off God’s delivery table was over, it would soon be a distant memory. What God had developed in me, was now about to be birth through me for His Glory and it was going to be worth every ounce of pain I ever endured.
